The 5th Austrian Flipbook-Festival will take place again this year! It will be held starting in mid-November 2026 at the O.K. Center Linz. gold extra is once again a partner of the festival.
The call for flipbooks is currently open and will remain so for the next few months! We’re once again looking for anything that can be flipped with your thumb and that creates and plays back film or animations in a tactile, analog way (so not via screens or cell phone displays!).
This 5th edition will feature 3 categories:
1) A general category: for a wide variety of ideas and concepts
2) A U16 category: for children and teens under 16
3) The 2026 Special Category: “Life Isn’t a Walk in the Park”
