Human Beings, Animals and other Monsters - Talks, Work in Progress Presentation
The artist group gold extra frequently deals with the interaction between human society and machines. Their recent project, the robotic theatre play "Frankenstein" introduces the audience into a world of hospital and service robots and with this the audience gains insight into a future which is not that far. In this future, shaped by care-taking robots and full-automatic emergency rooms only one element is missing: living human beings.
At Schmiede Hallein, gold extra meets the artists of Tinkerlab in order to discuss and exchange ideas. Questions about humane elements within machines and the implicated challenges for artistic production will be discussed: mistakes and the unforseeable, the relation between humane and carnal and the mind of machines which can never be restrained.
Within the frame of "Zu Gast bei... / gold extra visits" gold extra invites; into lecture rooms, to refugees, to the community tv station, into the wildness and on stage, it injects discussions around social questions and artistic positions into Salzburg, Austria or Bavaria.
