Stampfer Dreams - directed by Thomas Renoldner - celebrates its international world premiere this Wednesday in Canada at the renowned Ottawa International Animation Festival. Reinhold Bidner contributed numerous animation sequences for this 11-minute animated film.
Stampfer Dreams is a tribute to the Austrian scientist Simon Stampfer: all the animated sequences are based on Stampfer's Optical Magic Disks, which were first presented in Vienna in 1833.Three dreams depict young Simon's visions of future developments in technology and art from 19th century to the present day.
A Stampfer publication written by Thomas Renoldner will also be presented in Ottawa for the first time. gold extra is hereby responsible for the Augmented Reality component.
