Whether media art, gaming, or art education – in the city of Salzburg, numerous individuals, institutions, and initiatives are engaging with the digital transformation in art and culture. The gold extra research project Augmented Reality Communities also addresses questions about the participatory potential of digital games in communication, raising awareness, and expanding societal participation in public spaces through playful applications. As part of the event "Cultural Strategy Salzburg 2024 goes Pecha Kucha: Digital Transformation in Art and Culture: Projects & Networks in Salzburg," Sonja Prlić will present the research project. The focus will be on the case study of the Mars Mission in the Children's City Mini-Salzburg 2024.
