The WE ARE Festival starts for the first time on 4 December!
WE ARE took place in November as the first pilot project and we developed games with children and young people aged between 8 and 14 at a game jam.
After working in the premises of the former National Bank, the games centred around the theme ‘Crack the safe’.
A total of 22 children took part and worked on everything from brainstorming, developing game rules, electrical construction and wiring to programming. The result is three games that can be played with specially built game boxes:
- Leka Satomi
- Ibrahim Says
- The colour safe

Festival schedule:
On 4 December, we will present the games at the IGLU youth centre.
The festival continues on 11 December at the Lehen Children's and Youth Centre.
The main event of the festival is the public game presentation on 18 December, to which we warmly invite you:

The children and young people involved and the workshop leaders will present the games they have invented and the young game designers will be honoured for their efforts. There will also be an opportunity to try out the game ‘Escape Fake’ by polycular and the Werewolf variant developed by the children and young people. Playing games makes you hungry and thirsty, so we will make sure that snacks and drinks are available on site.
