WE ARE 2025

WE ARE continues in 2025! We look forward to creative games and the joy of experimentation at many workshops in and around Salzburg.

WE ARE addresses everyone, especially those who would not otherwise receive artistic encouragement through a family or school environment.

In spring, eight workshops on the topic of games and digital art already took place. We also had a station at the KinderUNI in Hallein, where we experimented with sounds, noises, and audio for computer games. In July, our week-long WE ARE Game Camp took place, where children and young people were able to realize their own game ideas together with professionals from the gaming and creative industries. Four games were created.

The WE ARE Workshops and the WE ARE Game Camp are free of charge.

WE ARE Workshops Autumn 2025

In September, we will publish our program for Autumn 2025 here. Once again, eight workshops are planned in children’s and youth centers in Salzburg as well as in Hallein.

WE ARE Game Camp 2025

From July 7 to 11, 2025, our Game Camp took place, where children and young people developed, designed, and implemented four games together with professional game designers and media artists.

The following games were created:

Quests of Gods (Benjamin, Christoph & Fabian)

WE ARE Kinderuni Special: How Do Sound and Music Make Digital Games More Exciting and Fun?
Beeps, crashes, and fanfares: sounds, audio, and music – the so-called soundscape – make digital games exciting and fun. We will experiment to our heart’s content, capture sounds, and try them out in games right away. We are curious to see how the character of a game changes with different sounds.
